"With a voice as unshakable as it is vulnerable, Wisconsin-born, Colorado-based singer-songwriter Kathryn Ryan releases her self-titled debut LP. Equal parts vulnerable and bold, Kathryn Ryan crafts a genre-defying journey through heartbreak, vengeance, and grace, delivered with deep empathy and a sly wink, especially when it comes to forgiveness."

The debut full length album by Wisconsin/Colorado based artist Kathryn Ryan is a genre bending sonic experience that rolls through heartbreak, vengeance, and love with deep empathy and a knowing wink to the listener --at least when it comes to "forgiveness".
With a truly remarkable voice and an incredibly broad repertoire of original songwriting, Kathryn Ryan weaves through her debut LP with an ear and depth that will please fans of Fiona Apple, as well as fans of early alt country pioneers like Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. There are many contemporary songwriters that have clearly influenced her singing and songwriting (Brandi Carlile and Taylor Swift quickly come to mind), but Kathryn's upbringing in rural western Wisconsin and her classical training on cello (featured frequently on the record) give her a truly unique sound that establishes her work as something distinct, and not easy to categorize within a single genre.
The album was recorded in 2024/2025 at Sueño Royale studios in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
